The precision of the semiautomatic G-43 rifle at ranges of 100, 300, and 600 meters, is less than that of the German G-41 rifle and domestic AV-40 rifle. Disassembly and reassembly has no effect on precision and accuracy.
The G-43 rifle functions somewhat more poorly than the G-41 when firing in various conditions. To determine the reliability of the gas system, 1800 rounds were fired. 150 misfires, or 8.3%, were recorded. The overall lifespan of the rifle is on the order of 3000-4000 rounds.
Two rifles G-43 rifles were presented for trials. The difference between them was that one of them had stamped parts, indicating simplified production.
A feature of the G-43 design is the widespread use of stamped parts. The receiver is of special interest. The production of the G-43 is simplified, compared to the G-41.
The G-43 rifle does not satisfy modern requirements for weight (see NIR-7 for 1944)."
