As you can see from the list of weapons used by the company, it was hardly "the one with the rifle shoots, the one without the rifle follows". However, the weapon types are a bit hard to decode, since not all of them are accounted for in the initial totals. PP is obviously submachineguns, p are pistols, sk are sniper rifles, v are regular rifles, kr are carbines. I don't know what #1 and #2 stand for (possibly variants of the carbine, but it's not clear why that would matter to anyone), or what k and b are. Valeriy had a theory that b is binoculars, and k is perhaps a map.
